Feb 1-6 5:30 - 10:30 PM Where: See show descriptions INTIMATE HISTORY Written by Craig Stephens & Jake Oldershaw Composed and played live by Derek Nisbet Produced by Untied Artists Length: 10 minutes Location: Vancity Culture Lab Intimate History surely has to be one of the sweetest affectations of modern theatre. With every taste catered for, choose from six delicious theatrical options. When your order is placed, your performance is freshly prepared for you. For just one audience member at a time, Jake Oldershaw sings and tells tales inspired by Theodore Zeldins’ An Intimate History of Humanity. ETIQUETTE A Rotozaza production Written by Anthony Hampton and Silvia Mercuriali Length: 30 minutes Location: The Cultch’s Wine Bar This performance exposes human communication at both its rawest and most delicate and explores the difficulty of turning our thoughts into words we can trust. Etiquette is a half-hour experience for two people in The Cultch’s new wine bar and is available in 13 different languages. You wear headphones which tell you what to say to each other, or what to do. For it to work you just need to listen and respond accordingly. YOU & THE MOON Written and directed by Kendra Fanconi Created by The Only Animal Length: 7 minutes Location: Green Room in Historic Building You and the Moon is an ultra-intimate performance piece, coming to The Cultch from its sold-out run at HIVE 2. Don the headphones and follow us on a theatrical expedition into the wild, unchartered territory of the heart. A climbing expedition and a love story in one, You and the Moon takes you to the highest height, and then a little higher still...“Surprises await at every altitude of this mountainous little gem.” (Peter Birnie, Vancouver Sun). |
