Mar 31–Apr 3 @ 7 PM Matinee: Apr 3 @ 2 PM At Nightfall tells the story of Auguste, a shoemaker who knows nothing of holidays. He knows little about life outside his work and when far from his workshop, he is often afraid. But then Auguste discovers the water forest and a tiny people that occupy this place where shade and light intermingle. Crazy, tender, tipsy and delicate, their nocturnal dances include rituals in which the creatures turn, jump and frolic in total abandon. Founded in 1985, the Sursaut Dance Company is devoted to the creation, production and dissemination of dance shows for young and family audiences. The company’s productions are presented from coast-to-coast in Canada as well as abroad. Sursaut’s joyful and touching creations thrill spectators young and old alike, everywhere they are presented.
