After a year of
visiting our friends at theatres around the city, we’re pleased to finally be
back home! And we’d like to invite you over for a visit. Here at The Cultch
we’re always looking for outgoing, reliable, friendly people with an interest in
the arts to volunteer as ushers. How else would we manage to get everyone into
the theatre and still start the show on time?
As a volunteer usher
at The Cultch, you play a critical role: you greet patrons, respond to
inquiries, prepare venue materials, distribute programs and help with seating
for each show within our extensive new season, as well as for rental companies
using our space. If you have a love of arts, a willingness to be flexibly
helpful, and are willing to donate your time by helping others, you’d be a great
fit. Any customer service or ushering experience you may already have will only
enhance the whole experience!
As our audiences are
quite diverse, we welcome anyone with second or third languages, anyone new to
the city, students, seniors – in fact, everyone is welcome! And as you’d expect
when you drop in for a visit, The Cultch will be a good host, and provide you
with everything you need from training, to on-the-job materials like nametags,
flashlights, and T-shirts. We welcome volunteers throughout the season – the
more the merrier.

Cultch, with our newly renovated and restored facility, is the place to be. For
