After 11 albums and countless tours of the UK, Europe and North America with Spirit of the West, John Mann strips down to his alt-folk roots for his one-man show at The Cultch. In his most recent record, December Looms, Mann’s songs are beautiful melodies with emotionally honest lyrics that capture the intimate moments of his hometown of Vancouver — its occupants, the fragile details of their dysfunctional love and the loss of a city’s innocence.
