Rentals at The Cultch

The Cultch is a supportive rental facility for dozens of local theatre, dance and music presenters including The Coastal Jazz and Blues Society, musica intima, Vancouver New Music, Touchstone Theatre and numerous other professional dance and theatre companies. After extensive renovations in 2008, The Cultch will be one of the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified arts centres in Canada.

Historic Theatre

The Historic Theatre is a proscenium stage with raked audience chamber and balcony. Our capacity is 219 people with some flexibility to increase this number depending on the nature of the event.

Vancity Culture Lab

The Vancity Culture Lab is the beautiful addition to the Cultch. As a black box studio, all lighting and audio technology are accessible from anywhere in the room. The comfortable seating system is comprised of movable risers that can be set up to virtually any configuration the space will allow. The "C Lab" will seat an intimate 50 to a capacity 100.

Rehearsal Room

Our rehearsal room is available for a variety of uses, including rehearsals, readings, meetings and auditions.

Lobby

The Cultch’s main lobby can be rented for a variety of uses, including receptions, meetings and/or readings. Our lobby features a new café/wine bar, which is also available to rent for more intimate meetings or cabarets.
