About The Gallery
The Cultch's gallery is a multi-use space and not a traditional art
gallery. Because of the nature of the building, the gallery is also the
lobby and box office for performances, and is occasionally used for
meetings and other small events. The Cultch hosts gallery openings on new exhibitions and takes a 10% commission
on all works sold.

Kevin Godsoe - No Reserve Seating
"Often when wrapped up in the details of executing the work we can miss important features that give it new depth. I want my work to say as much about the viewer as the artist. The viewer completes the picture. Art making for me is essentially an unconscious and compulsive process, an inexplicable part of who I am that calls to be realized."
About Kevin Godsoe
Kevin Godsoe is a visual and performance artist working in BC. His unique brand of painting and his interesting subject matter showcases an appreciation for texture and form. His music and art has been displayed and broadcasted all around the world.
Janny Thompson – Private Practices
"I have come to see both small drawings and finished pieces as similar to dreams. They contain pieces of my outer and inner "reality" that have been re-combined, re-shaped, transformed and disguised. Dreams are private and internal but, like these images, once they are revealed, they are open to interpretation not only by the dreamer, but by others too."
About Janny Thompson
Janny Thompson is an artist, psychotherapist, and university professor. A fourth generation Cortes Islander, she completed an undergraduate
degree at the University of Victoria and a PhD at the University of Ottawa. After16 years as a full-time professor at Simon Fraser University, Janny resigned from her tenured position to spend two years painting and establishing a private practice.
